• All our inflatable’s are designed for use by children of up to 65kgs and should not be used by children over the age of 14 (Not applicable to our range of adult castles * No food, drinks, chewing gum, shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges to be allowed on or near the inflatable & all shoes must be removed prior to entering the inflatable(s)
• No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers, silly string, pets, toys, sharp objects & cigarettes to be used either on or near the inflatable. Failure to adhere may result in cleaning/ Repair charge of up to £120.
• Climbing, hanging or sitting on walls is dangerous & must not be allowed at any time, some of our inflatable’s are designed to have low walls for supervision purposes, on these types of inflatable’s this rule is exceptionally important, especially when the inflatable is erected on hard surfaces. Two responsible adults must supervise the inflatable at all times. If and accident does occur as a result of non-adherence you may be liable under your own insurance.
• Always ensure the inflatable is not overcrowded and limit numbers according to the age, size and stature of children. Avoid large & small children from using activities at the same time as this can lead to accidents. Ensure that children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to cause distress to others. This includes performing acrobatics, summersaults, play fighting, wrestling or any other activity likely to cause injury.
• If the inflatable is not being used for any part of the day or adequate supervision is not available, please ensure that all children are well away from the castle and that the fan is switched off at the mains, never walk away from a bouncy castle until it has fully deflated as small children can be caught up inside, this can lead to suffocation & Do not allow anyone to be on the inflatable during inflation or deflation as this can be extremely dangerous.
• Ensure that no one with a history of back, neck or heart complaints uses the equipment. Ensure anyone who is feeling unwell, pregnant or suffering from the effects of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to use any equipment at any time. In the event that someone is injured, remove all other participants from the unit as safely & as smoothly as possible and DO NOT move the individual, leave the inflatables switched on and dial 999 immediately and ensure you report the incident to us immediately via the number provided.
• Ensure that an area of 6 feet (2 metres) around the unit is completely clear and ensure the area in which the castle is to be erected is completely swept of debris & that all washing lines, children’s toys and especially dog droppings, before our team erect the inflatable, there will be a £50 charge should we have to remove this for you or should there be any on our equipment when we return at the agreed collection time, there will be an £90 cleaning and disinfecting charge.
• In the event of rainfall, all inflatable items not fitted with a shower cover must be switched off and unplugged immediately. And in the event of heavy rain all inflatables fitted with a rain cover should also be switched off. Any wetness, including bubbling (which is normal) must be dried with a towel before the inflatable is re inflated and the participants are permitted to use it again.
• In the event that the bouncy castle inflation device stops working, ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. The most common faults are the fan tipping over or the air vents becoming obstructed by leafs, debris & carrier bags etc, if this is the case, then remove the obstruction. If the problem persists, then please call us immediately. In the extremely rare event that the fan overheats, or loses power, switch it off at the mains, then switch it back on again 5 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, check the power supply & fuse board. If this fails then please contact us immediately and do not attempt to fix any electrical faults yourself.
• Please ensure that you are happy with the position, set up, layout and general condition of the item and its wiring before we leave your venue. If you are unhappy with anything at all, please ensure that you tell the erection team before they leave as we keep a tight schedule &may not be able to return for a number of hours.
• Please be aware that adult hire items are often let out to children immediately after collection from your venue, it would therefore be appreciated if you would not drink alcohol or smoke on or near the unit & ensure that the equipment is returned in the condition it was left in. Non adherence will result in a £50 cleaning charge.
Wind/ Wet Conditions: This is the most common cause of accidents and as such is the most important rule of all. In the event of winds exceeding 38km/h (Force 5 Beaufort Scale), the unit should be deflated immediately and then re inflated once the winds subside. Beaufort scale description = Fresh Breeze – Small trees in leaf begin sway. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS INFORMATION. Equipment must NOT be used in wet weather.
Reporting of Damages: We insist that ALL DAMAGES ARE REPORTED TO OUR STAFF prior to signing this form as our vehicles cannot always return to your venue in reasonable time to put things right. More importantly when staff collect the items from your venue, any damages that have occurred throughout the day must be reported to the collection staff immediately to avoid a penalty charge of up to £1,000 for the repair of the items damaged.
Disclaimer: Please note that all persons using this equipment do so at their own risk. It is the sole responsibility of the person! Persons or organization who is hiring this inflatable to ensure that that the above instructions are adhered to at all times and all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the inflatable and its users. This company and its employees will not be responsible for any loss or damage to persons or property whilst using our equipment & the item should not be hired by yourself under any circumstances unless adequate supervision is provided, the terms & conditions listed both above and overleaf must be read & understood & unless you have a suitable public liability insurance in place, you must not hire any of our items. This company does have its own public liability insurance for our elements of the hire but strongly advise additional cover as we cannot be held liable for unsafe practices and dangerous behaviour.
No Adults Please unless it is an adult inflatable: It is with regret that due to recent Health & Safety incidents we have to include this notice within all its hire agreements. We take great pride in our safety standards & will not allow them to be compromised in anyway. All inflatable equipment has an age limit for use which you must abide by if you are unsure please ask a member of staff. This limit is set in place by the manufactures in order to alleviate stress/strain related problems. If adults do use such equipment, their weight and size will compromise the safety of the inflatable. Unfortunately it is becoming all too common that adults are still jumping on inflatables whilst they are in the care of the hirer, thus making the possibility of the inflatable being unsafe for the next hirer, - I am sure that you would not wish us to supply you with an unsafe castle for your party. With that in mind the next hirer deserves the same safety standards as you would expect. We do however realise that an adult may from time to time need to access the inflatable to deal with younger children, please keep this to a minimum and spread your weight across the inflatable as much as possible. All our inflatables are put through a rigorous safety test at regular intervals, but if it is found that adults have used the inflatable, then it must be retested to ensure that it is safe for the next person to hire for their children as most of the damage caused by adults is not visible from the outside and usually related to internal stitching problems.
Therefore if it is found that adults have used an inflatable specified for children whilst it is in your care there will be an initial charge of £50 to have the inflatable retested, and you will be liable for the full cost of any repairs required due to the misuse and any loss of business whilst the inflatable is out of use. Remember, abuse of such guidance will invalidate any insurance you may have. Please disregard this section if you are hiring an adult item.
Disco equipment: speaker/lighting are fitted in such a fashion they will not come loose under any circumstance as long as they are not tampered with in any way if the lighting system/speaker malfunctions in any way you must report this via phone at the earliest point. If we find that the unit has been tampered with at all the unit that is on hire with this equipment fitted will be removed from the property or venue promptly and no refund will be given and a penalty of upto £150 could be issued. Any persons with any medical conditions that results in light sensitivity such as epilepsy or are sensitive to loud music should not use or stand close to the unit. Bouncy kings north east takes no responsibility for damage or loss to any person(s) or property under this statement. The wind/wet conditions also must be closely adhered to extra carefully with any disco products and in the event of deflation no people to be on or around the unit unit fully deflated.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to notify us by email prior to the day of hire of any services such as gas pipes, electric cables or water pipes less that 400mm deep, if not & one is hit with a peg then this is down to the hirer.
If we are asked to go through someones house, gates etc we will take great care in doing so gracefully & as clean as possible, however we will not accept responsibility if things are caught, damaged or become dity by accident because of us being asked to take items through houses etc.
Also if the item is left overnight & we can’t gain access to collect the item due to a locked back/side gate we reserve the right to gain access by unscrewing hinges or cutting off any padlocks preventing us from collecting.
By signing you agree we won’t be responsible for damages. Please note this is unlikely & never done it to do date as collection is normally discussed on delivery.
Theft or Malicious Damage; the unit(s) you have agreed to hire will be delivered and collected by our staff in full uniform and the same vehicle and we would never under any circumstance send any other persons to collect our units other than the staff that delivered the unit(s). If in doubt please ask driver for identification. In respect to this you are solely responsible for any damage or loss to the equipment and any loss of earnings while the inflatable is in for repair or being replaced. If you suspect any fraudulent delivery or collection staff please contact us immediately and call the police.
